Pablo Gallego Picard- Doctor Architect Graduated at Madrid Architecture Polytechnic School in 1993, since 1994 he has collaborated with different offices, Ábalos &Herreros-Madrid, D.Chipperfield Architects-London, M.Gallego-A Coruña, Stan Allen-New York, and Tuñon and Mansilla-Madrid. Pedro Barrie de la Maza Foundation Scholarship holder in 1997, during 1998-2000 he gets a Master of Science at the GSAPP, Columbia University, NY. Recipient of the William Kinne Fellows Award in 2000, since 2001 he is professor at the Coruña Polytechnic School of Architecture, UDC. Since 1996 his practice has build projects in London, New York and Galicia, Spain. Winner of the 1st prize at Europan 8 competition, for a university residential complex in Coimbra, Portugal, and in 2010 for the Museum of Neandertal in Piloña, Asturias, his Park, Restoration and Facilities project for the San Lourenzo Fortress in Tomiño, Spain has been finalist at the 2013 Fad awards, 2014 Enor prizes and selected for the XII Spanish Bienial of Architecture, -XIIBEAU. His architectural work has been exhibited at Venice Biennale of Architecture, Fundación Barrie, CGAC in Santiago de Compostela, Galeria Boavista in Lisbon or Matadero Madrid. Co-director of the art and architecture international magazine O-monographs, is work has been published in different magazines like: Bauwelt, AV, Arquitectura Viva, Pasajes, Architectural Record, CLOG Magazine or Arquitectos Phd at Madrid Polytechnic School of Architecture in 2006, in 2014 gets his doctor degree with the thesis: Poetic Translations, a walk along Mies van der Roheʼs 1921 Friedrichstrasse. Architecture, photography and cinema, perception in architecture. Photographer and filmmaker, his art work has been exhibited in different museums, like the XXX Pontevedra Art Bienal, CGAC, Fundación Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, Arquerías Nuevos Ministerios, Madrid or CGAI in A Coruña. He has recently design the exhibition: Manuel Gallego –Arquitectura 1969-2015 at the Fundación Barrie in A Coruña & Vigo.
